About Us

Sharp Arts are a Performance Academy that offer expert tuition in the field of performing arts to children ages 3-16 years. We run a main stages Saturday morning Theatre School (Singing, acting and dance) and a Saturday afternoon commercial street dance/ Hip-hop Academy as well as evening classes and after school clubs to schools in the Stockport area. At Sharp Arts our aim is to work with children to ‘sharpen’ fundamental life skills through the use of performing arts.

Our school courses (PPA cover) of dance, drama and musical theatre are structured in a way that promotes child led learning. Allowing children to harness their own ideas and creativity within a structured format, whilst also working to support school curriculum by physicalising school topics and bringing them to life! 

Our evening clubs have the same goal – to enhance life skills through the use of performing arts – but from a more skill-based objective.

Children will learn more traditional dance and theatre practices (with experienced performing art tutors) and work on their skills to produce showcases for friends and family to enjoy. 

We want all children, irrespective of ability, to be able to engage in performing arts at their own level and sharpen their capabilities in a safe, creative and structured environment.
